"Enterprise Ireland is committed to encouraging an increasing level of high potential start-ups in the regions. EnterpriseSTART is one method we use to help achieve this task. The focus of EnterpriseSTART is simple – it is designed to provide access to the essential skill sets to help those people who are thinking about setting up a business with export potential. The programme is run throughout Ireland by Enterprise Ireland in conjunction with FAS, third level institutions or specialist enterprise centres”.
“Last year, we were absolutely delighted that our Midlands EnterpriseSTART attracted interest from a diverse range of would-be entrepreneurs in areas such as software development, medical devices, financial services and manufacturing. This year, we are hoping to attract an even wider audience. By running the programme on Friday evenings and Saturdays, it provides the flexibility for an ideal learning and networking opportunity for those who are in existing jobs or have other commitments which limit their availability during the working week. We are also very happy to have secured the services of a top quality speaker line up including Kevin Kelly, who is a leading authority on motivation, entrepreneurship and leadership and Marc Cashin who is with Athlone Institute of Technology and is also an entrepreneur himself,” he said.
The 2007 Midlands EnterpriseSTART programme will be run in the Midlands Innovation and Research Centre and will commence on Friday evening, November 2nd.
