Dr Tim McTiernan, Director of Innovations at the University of Toronto, visited the MIRC today, Wednesday 22 October. In terms of research outputs, the University of Toronto is second in the world after Harvard University.

Dr McTiernan is also a director of the MARS Centre – a research, commercialization and incubation hub in Toronto – and is a member of MARS Innovation – a partnership of 16 research and technology transfer institutions in Toronto.

Dr McTiernan is the founding president of BIOLink Canada-Ireland which supports the development of the biosciences in commercial, academic and government settings in Canada and Ireland.

Dr McTiernan met with a number of MIRC client companies to discuss potential commercialization opportunities in Canada for MIRC client technologies.
