SolanoTech and AIT’s Software Research Centre have just embarked on a joint project for evaluation and characterisation of an IMS-based Service Creation Environment. The project will involve the creation of a test application prototype which integrates IMS communication services and enablers such as messaging, call and push-based voice, presence with a social network framework.

The Ericsson Service Development Studio 4.0 has been chosen as the SCE for the project which will conclude in the second quarter of 2008.

The project is being partially funded by the Border, Midland and Western (BMW) Regional Assembly.
