MIRC Business Supports

The MIRC’s mission is to accelerate the development of knowledge-based start-ups through incubation and business support. The MIRC supports innovation and enterprise through:

• Support for entrepreneurs, start-ups and the commercialisation of applied research.
• Incubation space and a comprehensive business support programme.
• The Midlands & West Enterprise Programme, a one-year incubation programme for high potential entrepreneurs and innovative start-ups.
• A network of industry experts and peer entrepreneurs.

• Support for innovation, technology transfer and continuing professional development.

WPA Mobile, a MIRC-based start-up, provides mobility solutions which enable mobile workers in the utility, construction and services sectors to connect to back-office ERP systems via handheld devices. AIT’s Software Research Centre is leading the development of WPA’s technology.
